Day 2 of filming was a very exciting day. We started with a sister breakfast and then headed to New Prospect Baptist Church. I broke the day down into two parts. The first part of the day, the cast got a chance to tell their stories. I chose women based on what they had gone through and the things that they were able to overcome. I must say that this was a very emotional time. All the women had very compelling, yet inspirational stories that I believe will help anyone who has experienced tragedy. The second part of the day, we had a round table discussion, hosted by Casey Fisher. Here, we discussed many of the issues that black women face daily. We came up with ways on how to move past negativities and stereotypes. We realized during this discussion that although we are different and come from different places, we have the same struggles. We learned that we are powerful when we love and support each other.
